ZACK TRAVIS

Drill • Wind Arranging

Zack Travis, a prominent figure in the world of music education and marching arts, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the forefront. As a seasoned band director in the state of Texas, Zack’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the success of several distinguished programs, most notably at Glenn, McCallum, and John Horn High Schools. His contributions as an educator and designer encompass music arranging, drill design, and choreography. All of which have consistently elevated the performance standards of his students and ensembles.

Zack’s journey in the world of marching music started at an early age. Having marched with the prestigious Cadets from 2010 to 2013, he became an integral part of the corps’ musical excellence. His passion for the marching arts led him to become an esteemed staff member at both The Cadets and the Boston Crusaders, where he continued to inspire and mentor aspiring musicians. Zack studied at West Chester University, where he honed his skills as an accomplished euphonium player, laying the foundation for his remarkable career.

Zack Travis’s dedication to the marching arts, combined with his unwavering commitment to music education, serves as a testament to his enduring impact on the world of music. His passion for excellence and his ability to nurture talent have left an indelible mark on both students and fellow educators, solidifying his reputation as a respected leader and visionary within the marching band community.

JAKE HILLE

Choreography • Drill

Jake Hille is a music educator and designer based out of Prosper, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master of Music in Wind Band Conducting degree from Texas Christian University. He credits much of where he is today, and what he knows, to his fantastic mentors and peers he worked alongside at both Universities.

Jake has held full-time teaching roles at middle school and high school levels in 4A, 5A, and 6A classifications in the states of Oklahoma and Texas. Currently, he is in his 4th year at Celina High School, where the program has achieved consistent superior ratings across all marching and concert evaluations, multiple ATSSB OPS State Winner awards, and earned the title of UIL 4A State Marching Band Champion in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

In the realm of music and visual design, Jake has spent the last 10 years serving marching, concert, and pep band clients across the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Louisiana. His services include marching band drill design, indoor percussion drill design, marching band and indoor choreography, clinic/consultation services for marching and concert ensembles, marching and concert adjudication, and brass masterclasses.

Jake currently holds memberships in Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, the Association of Texas Small School Bands, and Texas Music Adjudicators Association. Outside of the life of music education and design, Jake engages in a physically active lifestyle and deeply values time spent with his wife, Jessica, their daughter, Emersyn, and their dog, Kenji.

KENDALL SANTOS

Clinician

In the Fall, Kendall has helped the Cedar Park Timberwolf Marching Band win its third (2019), fourth (2021), fifth (2023), and sixth (2024) consecutive gold medals at the UIL 5A State Marching Contest. Under her direction, the band has been a consistent BOA Regional and Super Regional finalist, BOA Waco Regional Champion (2021 & 2022), and has consistently placed in the top 3 in the 3A size classification at BOA Regionals, BOA Super Regionals, and the Texas Marching Classic. Most recently, the band competed at the 2024 BOA Grand Nationals, earning 5th place along with 3A champion. In the Spring, she has conducted the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and currently works with the Wind Symphony. Her concert ensembles, at all levels, have consistently received superior ratings at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading.

Kendall grew up in Flower Mound, TX, and graduated from the University of North Texas with her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with a concentration in flute. She has served as a drum major for both The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps and The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, served on staff with The Boston Crusaders, and has been a regular guest speaker at the Drum Corps International Drum Major Leadership Seminar. Kendall has also presented several clinics at the Texas Bandmasters Association Convention. She currently also serves as an employee of the SASI Leadership Company, TMEA Region 32 Band Division Chair, and a marching band clinician for Central Texas.

In her free time, Kendall continues to perform her flute regularly with the Cedar Park Winds. She also loves traveling around the world with her husband, Zach, and spending quality time at home with their new son, Ryder, and their dog, Hudson.

BRANDON SMITH

Wind Arranging

Brandon Smith resides in Southern California, where he works as an arranger and composer for marching programs across the country. Since establishing Brandon Smith Music, LLC, he has designed over 240 shows performed by ensembles at the highest local, regional, and national levels, earning area, state, and world championship titles.

From 2006-2018, Smith taught band in the North Texas metroplex at Prosper High School, Haltom High School, and Southwest High School. Southwest was a Texas UIL 5A State Marching Band Finalist, Bands of America Regional and Super Regional Class Champion, and a featured performing ensemble at the 2015 Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. 

Previously, Brandon taught at Haltom High School, a Texas UIL 6A State Marching Band Participant and Bands of America Super Regional Finalist. Under his direction, the percussion ensemble was selected as a featured performing ensemble at the 2012 Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. 

Smith graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music, where he majored in Film Composition. He maintains an active schedule as a clinician, consultant, adjudicator, performer, and conductor throughout the United States. His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), the Texas Bandmasters Association (TBA), and the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).

KYLE NORRIS

Wind Arranging

Kyle Norris currently an Associate Director of Bands at Vandegrift High School in Austin, Texas. He previously taught at Cedar Park Middle School and at Covington Middle School in Austin ISD.

Mr. Norris is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he attended Union High School. He went on to earn degrees in Music Education and Horn Performance from Oklahoma State University, where he studied horn with Lanette Compton and brass pedagogy with Dr. Ryan Gardner. Mr. Norris performed extensively as a member and section leader of the Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Joseph Missal, the Symphonic Band under the direction of Dr. Doug Henderson, as well as the horn octet, horn quartet, and various other chamber ensembles. For two years, Mr. Norris served as Drum Major for the OSU Cowboy Marching Band. Prior to graduating in 2016, he was named Outstanding Senior Music Education Major.

Mr. Norris is a member of the Brass Staff at the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, where he was a member of the mellophone section in 2013 and 2015. In previous summers, he taught on the Brass Staff at the Legends Drum and Bugle Corps and as an education staff member at System Blue.

Mr. Norris’s professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Bandmasters Association, and the International Horn Society. He currently resides in Leander, Texas with his wife, Kat, and their dog, Gus.

NICOLE DAVIS

Choreography

Nicole Davis is a current high school band director, visual designer, and marching arts clinician with seventeen years of experience in the marching arts. She has been involved in every Drum Corps International season since 2013, with five years of performance experience and eight years as an instructor. Her performance experience includes being a high brass performer with Music City, Spirit of Atlanta, Phantom Regiment, Blue Knights, and the Bluecoats from 2013 to 2017. She performed with Rhythm X Percussion in 2017 and 2018 as a dancer. 

Nicole’s teaching experience includes being a member of the Sacramento Mandarins Visual Staff from 2018-2022, the Bluecoats Visual Staff from 2023 to present, Rhythm X Percussion in 2019, and seven years as a high school band director in Texas. She currently teaches full-time at Robert E. Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, TX. As a designer and clinician, Nicole has worked with high school and independent programs across the United States and Canada in the area of visual design, choreography, and performance training. 

Nicole earned her Music Education degree from Middle Tennessee State University with an emphasis in bassoon and flute. Outside of the marching arts, Nicole enjoys long-distance running, photography, dancing, spending time with friends and family, and traveling. She is excited to work with the Band Blueprint to bring marching arts education to more students and directors across the country. 

JAMAR MORRISON

Choreography • Drill

Jamar K. Morrison is a Visual Consultant, Choreographer, Program Coordinator, and Drill Designer based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. His introduction to the marching arts at age 14 sparked a lifelong dedication to movement, design, and the pursuit of excellence.

After graduating from Nova High School in 2015, Jamar performed with STRYKE Wynds from 2016 to 2020 and aged out with the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps in 2017. Those experiences shaped his approach to visual design, balancing precision, emotion, and storytelling.

Since 2018, Jamar has worked with a range of successful ensembles throughout Florida, including Park Vista, West Broward, Jupiter, and Stoneman Douglas High Schools. As Visual Caption Head at West Broward from 2021 to 2022, his leadership helped the ensemble earn Best Visual in the state and the 4A FMBC State Championship.

Now entering his fifth year as a full-time designer, Jamar’s work reaches programs across the country, from Texas to Oklahoma and beyond. He currently serves as the Lead Choreographer for the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps and continues his long-standing role with STRYKE Wynds during the indoor season.

In 2022, he founded JKM Visual DSGNS, a creative visual company built on the belief that great design starts with clarity, collaboration, and care. Jamar’s work reflects his commitment to doing things the right way, crafting visual moments that move both the performer and the audience.

JONAH HAMMETT

Choreography

Jonah Hammett is an emerging horn player and educator currently pursuing his Master of Music in Horn Performance at the University of Georgia, where he studies with Dr. Jean Martin-Williams and Dr. James Naigus. At UGA, he is a Graduate Teaching Assistant, working with ensembles like the horn studio, brass chamber music, and the UGA British Brass Band, where he performs as Principal Solo Tenor Horn. He is also a member of the Bulldog Brass Quintet, the University's premier graduate brass quintet. 

Jonah is an active performer across orchestral, chamber, and wind ensemble settings. He holds the position of 2nd Horn with the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra. He also performs with the UGA Wind Ensemble, UGA British Brass Band, and UGA Horn Choir. During his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin (UT), he studied under Professor Patrick Hughes and served as Principal Horn of the renowned UT Wind Ensemble under the direction of Professor Jerry Junkin. With the ensemble, he appeared in major performances at Carnegie Hall, the CBDNA Conference, TMEA, and the University’s 50th Anniversary Wind Ensemble Celebrations. He has also performed with the UT Symphony Orchestra, Austin Civic Orchestra, Austin Brass Collective, and the UT New Music Ensemble. His playing has been featured on multiple University of Texas composer recordings and live releases from the Texas Music Educators Association Convention. 

As a chamber musician, Jonah helped found the award-winning LongHORN Quartet, winners of the 2025 MidNorth Horn Conference Quartet Competition and finalists in multiple regional horn workshop contests. He frequently appears in chamber recitals with the Bulldog Brass Quintet, most recently performing as a featured artist for the 2025 TEDNext Conference in Atlanta. His solo accomplishments include finalist honors in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music Concerto Competition, Winner of the 2024 MidSouth Horn Workshop Undergraduate Contest, and featured solo appearances at conferences across the country. 

A dedicated educator, Jonah joined the brass instructional staff of the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps in 2025, contributing to the corps’ record-setting 2025 season, which earned a DCI silver medal and the highest brass achievement score in the organization’s history. He also maintains an active teaching presence throughout the Greater Atlanta area, leading masterclasses, choreographing winds for marching programs, and serving as a visual and music clinician for several high schools. Prior to his graduate studies, Jonah taught extensively across Central Texas, working with programs at Cedar Park, Vista Ridge, and McCallum high schools. 

Jonah’s performance experience extends to the marching arts, where he has marched with the Bluecoats and Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps. With the Bluecoats in 2024, he served as horn sergeant and helped the corps earn their second DCI World Championship title and first Jim Ott Award for Excellence in Brass. 

He is a recipient of the UGA Graduate School Master's Fellowship and Assistantship, the Pearl DuBose Endowed Presidential Scholarship, and other awards recognizing excellence in performance and leadership. Jonah is a member of the International Horn Society and maintains an active national presence as a performer, teacher, and clinician. 

Jonah currently lives in Duluth, Georgia, with his beautiful fiancée, Kaia their tortoiseshell cat, Joni. 

KAITLYN KENNEDY

Choreography

Kaitlyn Kennedy is a music educator and an avid marching arts advocate. She currently teaches middle school band in Hutto ISD, as well as being a marching band choreographer and clinician. 

Kaitlyn is originally from Denton, TX, where she attended Lake Dallas High School. She attended weekly dance classes for ballet and jazz for 13 years before attending college. Kaitlyn went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Oklahoma State University, where she was an active member of Kappa Kappa Psi, the Cowboy Marching Band, the OSU horn choir, and the OSU Concert Ensembles. 

During her collegiate years, she was a performing member with the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugles Corps from 2019 to 2021 as a mellophone player. Afterwards, she served on the Blue Knights DBC brass staff in 2022 and the Cavaliers DBC brass staff in 2023. 

Kaitlyn continues to play her horn as a member of the Waterloo Wind Band based out of Austin, TX. She enjoys visiting local coffee shops, reading books, cooking new recipes, going on runs, and spending time with her dog, Jax.

GEOFFREY GUTTIEREZ

Choreography

Geoffrey Gutierrez currently serves as a band director at Bastrop High School in Bastrop, Texas. He is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and competitiveness that enables students to grow in visual technique, musicianship, and life skills.

A graduate of St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, Gutierrez has designed shows and choreography for ensembles of various sizes and levels of dance experience. From 2018 to 2021, he worked closely with the 6A Tom C. Clark High School Marching Band and staff in San Antonio, Texas, leading instruction in marching fundamentals, visual choreography, and fitness training.

While attending St. Mary’s, he served as the principal alto saxophonist for the Wind Ensemble and played tenor and baritone saxophone in the St. Mary’s Jazz Orchestra. He was selected as the senior guest conductor for the St. Mary’s Chamber Choir and studied saxophone, clarinet, and flute with Bill King, as well as euphonium and trombone with Dr. Matthew Mireles.

Since joining Bastrop High School in 2022, Gutierrez has choreographed each of the marching band’s productions, contributing to their advancement as a UIL Area D Marching Band Finalist. He is an active member of both the Texas Bandmasters Association and the Texas Music Educators Association.

Outside of his professional work, Geoffrey resides in Bastrop, Texas, with his wife Gladys Gutierrez, and enjoys traveling, biking, hikigg, and rock climbing in his free time.

LUKE VOGT

Percussion • Sound Design

Luke Vogt is a percussionist and educator originally from Phoenix, Arizona, currently residing in Fort Worth, Texas. Combining a passion for music and people, alongside world-class education and performance experience, Luke strives to provide musicians, students, and educators the tools needed to make their goals a reality. Luke holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in Percussion Performance from Texas Christian University. Luke currently works as the director of Percussion for V.R. Eaton High School (2021 PASIC Percussion Ensemble, 2023 Black Swamp Large Percussion Ensemble Winner), Adams Middle School, Worthington Middle School, and Wilson Middle School in Fort Worth, Texas. On the Drum Corps International tour, Luke serves as the Audio Caption Head for the Santa Clara Vanguard based out of Santa Clara, California. Luke is a proud endorser of Vic Firth products.

RILEY WARREN

Percussion • Sound Design

Riley Warren is an accomplished percussion educator, arranger, and consultant based out of Dallas, Texas. He is currently in his 9th year of teaching at Forney High School, where he serves as Director of Percussion. Under his direction, the Forney HS Percussion Ensemble performed at the 2022 Percussive Arts Society International Convention, as well as the 2023 Midwest International Band and Orchestra Conference. Additionally, the Forney HS Drumline has frequently earned high accolades and caption awards at area drumline contests such as the HEB Drumline Contest, North Texas Drumline Contest, and the Lone Star Classic Drumline Competition. In the spring, the Forney HS Indoor Drumline participates in the North Texas Colorguard Circuit, where they earned the title of Scholastic Open Class Champion in both 2021 and 2025.

Before coming to Forney, Riley taught at Vandegrift High School in Austin, Texas from 2012 to 2017. During this time, he also served as a percussion instructor at Round Rock High School and Cedar Ridge High School. He was a member of the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps from 2010-2013, serving as Front Ensemble Section Leader in 2012 & 2013. From 2014 to 2015, he was a member of The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps. During his time with Cadets, Riley earned the title of Rookie of the Year (2014), Cadet of the Year (2015), and served as the Front Ensemble section leader in 2015.

Riley graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education Degree and a Performance Certificate in 2017. While at UT, Riley was a member of the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, New Music Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Longhorn Band, and studied under Dr. Tom Burritt, Dr. Bob Duke, and Jerry Junkin. Concurrently, while teaching full-time at Forney HS, Riley earned his Master of Music Education Degree from Southern Methodist University, where he studied with Dr. Sarah Allen, Dr. Julie Scott, Lynne Jackson, and Frank Troyka.

Riley is a proud educational artist for Zildjian and Vic Firth, a provisional member of the Texas Music Adjudicators Association, and a member of the Education Committee for the Percussive Arts Society. He was recently selected as a Class of 2025 Yamaha “40 Under 40” Music Educator, and frequently contributes articles to the Yamaha Educator’s Suite.

He is the founder of Rhythmic Wavelengths LLC, a percussion arranging and consulting business through which he writes for and clinics marching bands and educators across the country. When he is not teaching, Riley enjoys spending time outside, writing music, and traveling the world. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas, with his fiancé Morgan, and their two pets, Sheila and Chloe.

SETH LAMPERT

Percussion • Sound Design

Seth Lampert is an active educator, percussion arranger, sound designer, and audio technician. Previously, Seth taught The Cadets Drumline from 2020-2023 and was a member of the quadline from 2016 to 2019. During his time at The Cadets, Seth performed under Colin McNutt and DCI Hall of Fame member Tom Aungst. Prior to his time at The Cadets, he spent his first season of drum corps (2014) on the cymbal line and his second (2015) on the quad line with The Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps.

Originally from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Seth discovered his passion for music at an early age, learning to play the drum set. His passion continued throughout high school. He was heavily involved in the music program in the Portsmouth School District, studying under percussion director Steve Cirillo, performing, and earning a WGI Scholastic Concert Open Class championship with the high school’s winter percussion ensemble. As an active young performer, he participated in numerous ensembles throughout the community. These early experiences led him to pursue a career in music.

Seth received his bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. As an active musician, he had the opportunity to teach, arrange, and perform with the UMass Percussion section, the UMass Marimba Bands/Ensembles, and several other ensembles on and off campus. He served as a member of the marching band/percussion section leadership team for two years. To expand upon his classical training, he was selected by studio professor Ayano Kataoka to perform in the McCormick Marimba Festival at the University of South Florida in January of 2019. He also had the opportunity to study under artists in residence Victor Caccese and Terry Sweeney from the contemporary chamber percussion group, Sandbox Percussion, in the spring of 2019.

Following his undergraduate studies, he returned to UMass to pursue a master’s degree in Music Education. During his two years in grad school, he served as a teaching assistant to former Associate Director of the Marching Band, Professor Thom Hannum. As a graduate TA, he had the privilege to work with the marching band’s percussion section, the Hoop/Ice Band, and the Marimba Bands/Ensembles. The opportunity allowed him to work closely with Professor Hannum as well as the current Associate Marching Band Director, Ian Hale. Prior to graduating in the spring of 2021, he took on the responsibility of coordinating and directing the UMass Marimba Band for the ’20-’21 school year.

Seth currently resides in Dallas, TX. He previously served as Director of Percussion for the Liberal Arts and Science Academy in the Austin Independent School District and as Assistant Director of Percussion for Glenn High School and Danielson Middle School in the Leander Independent School District. Seth is on the audio team for the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps and is the front ensemble arranger and sound designer for the 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. Seth is a proud member of the Vic Firth and Zildjian education teams.

COLE WILLIAMS

Percussion • Sound Design

Cole Williams is a composer, arranger, and educator from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Music in Music Performance from the University of Arkansas. From 2017-2022, Cole was the Adjunct Professor of Percussion at the University of Tulsa. In this capacity, he worked with the Sound of the Golden Hurricane Marching Band, directed the TU Percussion Ensemble, taught private lessons, and instructed a Percussion Methods class for Music Education majors.

A diverse arranger noted for his musicality and professionalism, Cole has written for distinguished groups across the country.  Working with some of the top wind arrangers in the activity, his work has been featured by winning ensembles in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

As a performer, Cole has had the privilege of playing in several respected ensembles at Oklahoma State University and the University of Arkansas. He has performed at the Oklahoma Music Educators Association Winter Convention, the College Orchestra Directors Association Convention, the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, the Collegiate Band Directors National Association Convention, and the Japan Band Clinic. Professionally, Cole has performed as a member of the Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra and Opera Fayetteville. In addition to his activity in the concert percussion realm, Cole is also an avid marching percussion enthusiast and spent two summers with The Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps (2012-2013) as a quad player.

Cole is a sought-after educator in the marching percussion realm. He served as the Executive Director of Resistance Indoor Percussion from 2014-2024. In addition to these roles, Cole has served as a Percussion Instructor for several high schools, including Alma High School, Collinsville High School, Guthrie High School, Stillwater High School, and Yukon High School. He has also served as the Caption Head and Arranger of the Oklahoma State University Winter Drumline, a group designed to help high school and college students polish their rudimental skills. From 2014-2016, Cole spent three seasons as the Assistant Percussion Caption Head/Tenor Technician for the Cascades Drum and Bugle Corps. After his time with Cascades, Cole was the Drumline Instructor and Arranger for the University of Arkansas from 2015 to 2017. In 2023, Cole served as the Percussion Caption Head for The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps.

Cole Williams is a Vic Firth Educator, Pearl/Adams Regional Educational Artist, Zildjian Education Artist, Remo Education Artist, and a member of the Percussive Arts Society (PAS).

MARK ISTRATIE

Guard Choreography

Mark Istratie began his career in pageantry in Farmington Hills, MI. Upon graduating from Harrison High School, Mark went on to perform with Ancora Winter Guard (2008-2009) and with the Madison Scouts (2008-2010). Mark then continued his career in Michigan, teaching various ensembles including Harrison High School, Lake Orion High School, Oakland University Winter Guard, Ancora Winter Guard, Farmington United Winter Guard, Farmington United Percussion, Ovation Independent, West Bloomfield High School, and Plymouth-Canton Educational Park. 

Mark then lived in San Antonio, Texas, where he served as the Color Guard Director at Judson High School and joined the technical staff for ORIGINS (Austin, Texas).

In 2021, Mark relocated to Austin, Texas, where he has had the pleasure of teaching ORIGINS Open, Vista Ridge High School, James Bowie High School, Hendrickson High School, Leander High School, and currently serves as technician and choreographer for the 2022 WGI Scholastic A Bronze Medalist, Westlake High School. As of fall 2022, Mark has served as the Color Guard Director at Westwood High School, earning multiple BOA and WGI Regional finalist placements.

Mark studied Vocal Performance at Madonna University and holds current performance positions with the Michigan Opera Theater, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Audivi, Opera MODO, and Opera San Antonio. Mark is a staff singer for St. Martin’s Lutheran Church and performs as a soloist in the greater Central Texas area. Most recently, he has performed with Ensemble VIII, Austin Opera, Texas Bach Festival, Conspirare Symphonic, Unheard, and Austin Cantorum. Mark performed on the 2024 GRAMMY-nominated album "House of Belonging" with Conspirare and has been on the roster since 2021. 

JESSICA GLASGOW

Guard Choreography

Jessica (Slabaugh) Glasgow is originally from Golden, Colorado, and resides in American Fork, Utah, and Canton, Ohio. Jessica was involved in music from a young age, performing in her high school marching band and serving as drum major. She was awarded several awards for her high achievement in music, including the John Philip Sousa Award, recognizing superior musicianship and outstanding dedication.

Jessica performed with several well-known winter guards and drum corps in college while studying Music Education and playing the French horn. She spent time developing and perfecting her skills with Crossmen Drum Corps, Imbue Winter Guard, Signature Winter Guard, and Alchemy Winter Guard. Jessica was also a performing member of the Oracle Performance Ensemble, a dance company from Denver, Colorado.

Jessica’s passion extends beyond performance. Since the early 2000s, she has impacted numerous high school programs across the nation. Her leadership has garnered impressive accolades—state championships, finals appearances, WGI medals, BOA regional championships, and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade performances. Currently, she serves as the artistic director for several programs.

Jessica Glasgow Marching Arts Design offers a complete package of services, including generating ideas, assembling the right team, and overseeing the project from ideation to the final stages of production. Jessica excels at understanding every aspect of the production process and bringing complex concepts to life, transforming the abstract into tangible, impactful marching band and winter guard performances.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jessica is a devoted wife and mother. Family adventures ignite Jessica’s creativity, fueling her passion for crafting innovative and captivating performances.

CHRIS MCCARTHY

Guard Choreography

Chris McCarthy is a professional Marching Arts designer based in Cedar Park, TX. He offers a wide range of services, including drill design, program and visual coordination, winds and guard choreography, winterguard staging, soundtrack design, and general consulting. His clients have included Cedar Park HS, Ronald Reagan HS, Dripping Springs HS, Round Rock HS, Cedar Ridge HS, and Cypress Woods HS, among others.

From 2013 to 2025, Chris served as Color Guard Director at McNeil High School in Austin, TX, where he led the program to two Top Five placements in WGI Scholastic Open Finals, multiple top-three state finishes, numerous WGI Regional Finals appearances and titles, and a TCGC State Open Class Championship title. Throughout his tenure, he also contributed as a winds choreographer, programmer, and drill writer during various seasons. Over the years, the McNeil Marching Band earned several Area D Finals appearances, was named a Super Regional finalist at BOA San Antonio and BOA St. Louis, and had consistent finals appearances at local and various BOA contests. 

Chris is a Founder, Executive Director, and designer of Origins Performing Arts, based in Austin, TX, which fields multiple ensembles - including a perennial WGI Independent Open and World Finalist. His leadership experience extends to serving as Color Guard Caption Head for the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, and teaching at The Crossmen and Genesis Drum Corps. Chris has also contributed to the marching arts community through his service on the Texas Color Guard Circuit Task Force and the WGI Color Guard Advisory Board, and was honored as the 2019 Texas Color Guard Circuit Director of the Year.

Chris serves as the Color Guard Director for The University of Texas Longhorn Band and is the Visual coordinator and a choreographer with The Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps. Outside of pageantry, Chris enjoys nature, art, coffee, music, and spending time with friends, family, and his two dogs, Charlie and Marzipan.
